ONE MOMENT ONE CREW

Just as the volunteers were setting up, the pagers sounded at 18:08 and the inshore lifeboat was launched to rescue two men on an inflatable kayak who were being blown offshore at Portmarnock beach. The lifeboat, which was already in the water in preparation for the photograph launched straight away and located the kayak within minutes. No matter what else is happening, our volunteer crew are prepared to drop whatever they are doing once the pager goes off to save lives at sea.
