21st Century Folk

BBC Radio 2 marked the RNLI’s anniversary with a week of programming. The 21st Century Folk series saw five people whose lives are linked to the sea paired up with folk singer-songwriters who composed new songs inspired by their stories. The series culminated with a special performance by Seth Lakeman and the Fisherman’s Friends with their song ‘Brave Volunteers’, inspired by Tower volunteer Al Kassim. Here they are with BBC Radio 2’s Jeremy Vine at the Sidmouth Folk Festival.
