RNLI Appledore Fundraising Guild

We met for our regular monthly meeting at Appledore Lifeboat to celebrate RNLI 200

In August 1824 a group of local gentlemen formed the 'Bideford Branch Association' and appealed to the Institution for one of the 12 lifeboats they had ordered to be stationed at Appledore. On 28 February 1825 the No I RNLI commissioned lifeboat ' The Volunteer' arrived at Appledore. We are proud to continue the tradition of volunteering to Save Lives at Sea.
