Margate Lifeboat Station, South East region

There has been a RNLI lifeboat in Margate since 1860 and all the One Crew team at the station, be they volunteer seagoing crew, shore crew, shop staff, fundraisers and others are proud to be carrying the baton for both past and future generations into the station’s future in this the 200th anniversary year of the RNLI. Currently we operate a B class and D class inshore lifeboat and are home to the RNLI Lifeguards who man Margate’s Main Sands.
